Joseph Brant Height - 17", Width - 6", Depth - 6". One-of-a-kind figure whose head and limbs are sculpted from polymer clay, with a cloth body over a wire armature, and hand painted porcelain eyes. He wears the tunic, beaded leggings and moccasins, and robes of a Mohawk chief c. 1776 made from original patterns. His jewelry, chain mail, and bracelets are silver. Joseph Brant is a portrait doll done for the 1999 United Federation of Doll Clubs National Conference, held in Washington D.C. where he took 1st place in the "Artist-Created Original Dolls" category. |
