The Ice Man Height - 18", Width - 8", Depth - 6". One-of-a-kind figure whose head and limbs are sculpted from polymer clay, with a cloth body over a wire armature, and hand painted porcelain eyes. He wears a suede tunic and leggings, Cherokee moccasins, and a fur wrap made from original patterns. There once was a great fire, and the Cherokees sent their bravest men to the far north to find the Ice Man, an ancient spirit who lived in a snow cave. When the men asked for help, the Ice Man loosened his long white braids. As he let his hair fly in the wind, snow fell to earth and smothered the fire. -- Cherokee Mythology |
